Hunting Stories

In this section we have transcribed some of the hunting tales written by Amadeo Bilo, published in different issues of Diana magazine between 1963 and 1966.
His hunting deeds, beautifully written, placed him as one of the pioneers of the spreading and exaltation of the characteristics of the Argentine Dogo as a big game hunting dog.

It was in April 1999 that, persuaded by the enchantment of knowing this "great hunter", we decided to set out on a journey to the south of Argentina - land of the patagonians - to meet the man, the myth and his legends.

After a long and pleasant journey we arrived at Allen, Rio Negro, where we were warmly welcomed by Amadeo and his wife. His passion for the breed is due to a surrounding full of heads and teeth, witnesses of old battles. Being a man of extraordinary generosity, he allowed us to dig into his memories and experience so that we could discover and admire his precious bibliographic and photographic material, part of which we share in this page.
